To all our Guests and Club Members!

Saturday was beautiful even though it looked like rain; the air was cool and pleasant. The turn out wasn't huge (I think the rain scared several of our regulars away) but we still had a terrific time and made some new friends.  This is what we are all about...having fun and raising a little money to help the kids at Susie's Place.

Our People's Choice Award winner this week was Alton Griffith with his 1948 Ford Coupe.  It must be something about blue cars because several of our winners this season have had them.  We would love to see you at our next cruise-in!  Remember anything on wheels is welcome...street car or show car - it doesn't matter to us.

August 28, 2010 - 2^nd Annual Summer Get Together.  This show is being held at the Raymond Street Motor-Plex Shops (3720 East Raymond St) in Indianapolis, Indiana.  This is an open show and will take place from 3:00pm to 7:00pm and the fee is $5.00. September 5, 2010 - 5^th Annual Car Show & Ice Cream Social.  This show is being held in Historic Ladoga Indiana at the Old Norman Hall US Hwy 234 on the west edge of town.  This is an open show and registration will take place from 1:00pm to 3:00pm and the fee is $10.00. The awards will be given out at 4pm and it will be a participant judged show. September 6, 2010 - Original 13^th Annual Larry's Car and Truck Show.  This show is being held in at the North Salem School Parking Lot in North Salem, Indiana (State Road 75 North, 2 blocks form the center of town).  This is an open show and registration will take place from 9:00am to 12:00pm and the fee is $15.00. The awards will be given out at 3pm and will include a Top 30 Pick, Club Participation and Best of Show.  Free dash plaques will be given out to the first 50 registered in show and free t-shirts to the first people registered until they run out!  There will be old time rock and roll music, classic country and karaoke by D.J. The Finch (Larry Finchum). September 11, 2010 - Star Spangled Car Show (no trucks please!).  This show is being held at Crown Hill Cemetery (700 West 38^th Street) in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Registration will take place from 9:00am to 10:30am and the show will be from 10:30am to 3:00pm.  Pre-registration is $15.00 and $20.00 day of show, Special Veterans Fee is $12.00.  The awards will be given out at 2:30pm and will include Best of Show, Best Paint Job, Best Interior, Best Engine and more!  Participant trophies and goodie bags will be given to all entrants.  There will be music and entertainment, paved parking, indoor bathrooms, and food and beverage concessions on-site.  All proceeds benefit the Indianapolis Senior Center.  For more information you may contact Liz Kreicker Van Sickle at lizv@yourcenter.org or call her at (317) 263-6272 or you can download and print our flyer (displayed below) and share it with your friends.
